Must Have
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (C#/.NET environment preferred)
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are testable, scalable, and high-quality
- Perform automated and manual testing for web-based applications
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries against MS SQL databases
- Analyze requirements, build test cases, and identify automation gaps or opportunities
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and Agile ceremonies
- 2+ years of hands-on Selenium automation experience (C#/.NET strongly preferred)
- Strong proficiency with MS SQL-querying, data manipulation, modifying schemas, etc.
- Experience testing web applications in enterprise environments
- Ability to read, write, and debug code
Good to Have
- Experience with Tricentis Tosca for desktop/thick-client automation
- Background testing desktop or rich-client applications
- Broader development experience beyond automation

Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Selenium Automation Engineer (C#) with strong automation engineering skills, deep Selenium expertise, and experience in a C#/.NET environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who can build robust automated tests, work across web and desktop environments, and collaborate closely with developers, QA, and business partners. This is a hands-on coding and automation role, not just a testing position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (C#/.NET environment preferred)
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications are testable, scalable, and high-quality
- Perform automated and manual testing for web-based applications; support desktop/thick-client automation when needed
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries against MS SQL databases
- Analyze requirements, build test cases, and identify automation gaps or opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams to balance changing priorities and manage high volumes of requests
- Participate in code reviews, test planning, and Agile ceremonies
- Help other team members and contribute to a highly collaborative engineering culture
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- 2+ years of hands-on Selenium automation experience (C#/.NET strongly preferred)
- Strong proficiency with MS SQL-querying, data manipulation, modifying schemas, etc.
- Experience testing web applications in enterprise environments
- Ability to read, write, and debug code (not just record/playback automation)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently without heavy oversight
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Tricentis Tosca for desktop/thick-client automation (heavily preferred for non-web testing)
- Background testing desktop or rich-client applications
- Broader development experience beyond automation (ideal candidate is comfortable coding)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
